Ratan Tata's Biography , Girlfriend , Awards , and Qualifications

  Ratan Tata is a great Indian industrialist , philanthropist and a former chairman of Tata Sons. He was born 28 December 1937 , in Bombay ( now Mumbai ). Although his parents were from Surat. He completed his secondary education from Cathedral and John Cannon school Mumbai, and then from Bishop cotton school Shimla . He was brilliant is academics . And for his further studied he went to Cornell University in USA in 1959 and after that he went to Harvard Business School in Boston in 1975.


When Ratan was 10 his parents get divorced. Ratan and his brother used to live with their grandmother Navajbai Tata , with whom he used share all his close affinity. Ratan said that the values in him were instilled by his grandmother only and even now he leads his life with those values .


In 1962 , when he came to India from USA , he got his first job in Tata Steel in Jamshedpur. He used spent his time with the workers . He used to eat with them , he used sleep with them in dormitory room. Under his leadership he listed Tata motors in the New York stock exchange to get the international power and recognition. As the chairman of Tata he acquired many foreign companies like Tetley , Daewoo commercial vehicle , Corus , Jaguar and land Rover.


Why didn't Mr. Ratan Tata got married ?

In 1962 when he was in Los Angeles he fell in love with an American girl, and decided to get married. But after sometime his grandmother called him and told him that she is not well and she might not survive for long. So Ratan decided to go back India , and his love to come to India afterwards . But in India there was Indo-China war scenes so her parents denied her to go to India and get her married with another guy.


Ratan Tata was awarded with the Padma Bhushan in the year 2000 and with Padma Vibhushan in the year 2008 , the third and second highest civilian honours awarded by the government of India. Apart from this Ratan has also received CNN-IBN Indian of the year in Business in the year 2006.
